Journey to Inspiration
International Yoga Retreat

December 5-11, 2025

Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

When you hear the phrase “pura vida”, it isn’t just an aspirational saying. It’s a whole lifestyle that encourages you to find more bliss and joy in the simple life. What better way to feel inspired than with a journey to the tropical paradise of Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica?

On this retreat, daily yoga practices happen in an open-air studio that provides stunning views of white sand beach and lush jungle with a soothing soundscape of nature as a welcome refuge for your senses. You’ll be energized and fortified by creative yet accessible opportunities to explore the way your body can move easily, breathe fully, and rest deeply. No matter how long you have been practicing yoga, Tara’s approach will be just what you need.

Not all of your inspiration will happen in the yoga studio or on the mat. The included day-long boat and snorkeling tour of Tortuga Island offers you an unparalleled experience of the wonder of an underwater paradise. Our karma yoga project for the week allows you to experience the joy of giving back in support of a local school.

There’s also plenty of free time for you to do whatever else will uplift you most. You can enjoy luxury spa treatments, explore the charming seaside surf town of Santa Teresa, take a horseback ride on the beach, or hike in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Costa Rica. How about surf lessons, a stand up paddleboard tour, an ATV tour, or a fishing and bird watching expedition? Perhaps your most inspiring free time activity will be relaxing in the sunshiney salty ocean air while you read a book on the beach and listen to the waves.

This is your official invitation to journey with Tara and a supportive and encouraging community of like-minded folks for inspiration to seek out more bliss, joy, and luxurious simplicity on this epic yoga vacation in Costa Rica.

“I found that when I’m on a retreat, far away from home, I’m able to relax much more and focus on giving myself the self-care that I know I need but that I don’t always give myself. I decided to bring Sophia because I wanted to have an opportunity to have a mother-daughter trip and because I’m hopeful that perhaps she will also try yoga and see what possibilities open up for her."
